STEREOTYPING THE ARCHETYPE: Working Mom of the Week

I am ALL about having a mommy advisory board in your life. I tap into mine all the time. This is different. This is the mom who not only talks to her own mother every single day (not a bad thing), she also moves from desk-to-desk to throw out her newest parenting challenge in hopes that someone will agree with the way she’s handled it.

Yes – I think it's time to potty train your 7-year-old. No – there’s no shame in having your kid evaluated for speech therapy. No – I don’t think your son’s teacher hates him. What’s that? Not the right answer? Ohhhh…. I get it! You don’t really want my opinion, you want me to agree with your decision to let little Billy get out his 5-year-old stress by putting the dog in a headlock.

I am not a "yes mom". Sorry, not sorry. If you really want my opinion, I will tell you. Perhaps you should move on, my needy (and greedy) mama… move on.
